Mann....listen....I have a renewed spirit in Hip Hop! Maybe its tha cranberry juice talkin' but, This shit riiight hurr....THIS SHIT RIIIGHT HURR!!!! This week has been great fo' me in Hip Hop.
First of all, I rreeeeally mean HIP HOP. Not Rap. Yeahhh phuckas there's a difference! Rap is what cha KIDS listen to. HIP HOP is what a GENERATION listens to. (Yeah i'm biased like a mutha) This week, tha generation, got a shot in tha arm by tha release of tha SLAUGHTERHOUSE album. (Hip HOP says album)
From beginning to end, each track deserves a phuckin rewind! My fav, is tha track "Cuckoo". Mannn... pick dem shits uppp!!! Real Hip Hop won't be disappointed.Look... if Hip Hop is near death,..then SLAUGHTERHOUSE is tha defibrillator
Now..anotha shot in tha phuckin arm, is tha those lyrical chemists out tha Chi..called Code F.I. I got to see these cats perform last nite.
Look..Tha definition of a tru artists is tha ability to perform (Full Throttle) for ANY size crowd. Whether its tha stadium, or tha lounge around tha corner, you put it on tha line. On this nite, these cats performed in a stepper's (yeah I said STEPPER'S..)club.
Ok...you see tha clash of elements riight? BUUUT...These cats....THESE CATS RIPPED IT THA PHUCK UP!!! Mannn..There's a cut they did called "Cook dem gritz" (YESSS.. COOK DEM GRITZ) it was an aggressive banger!! Tha beats were classic Boom Bap. Tha lyrics...they were some chemistry shit man....Both cats complemented each other in style. If you get a chance...phunk that...COP THAT SINGLE..COOK DEM GRITZ.!!!
Whew!...its been rrreally nice for Hip Hop this week. Hopefully this will start a trend of quality instead of "Greasy kid stuff".
