*Sips Tahitian Treat fruit punch and takes 2 Flintstone chewables* What's good my people?!? Tha weekend has been, well.....tha weekend. I did get a chance to grab a cup o' fun and be in a video shoot. (No porno. Those days are are long gone...My porn name was Mocha Latte. Sh*t..TMI..I know.)
I got ta hang out at Rev's in Country Club Hills il., for tha video shoot of "Holy Ghost" tha new single from hitmaker Stacy Kidd. As far as video shoots go, this one went pretty smooth. Usually, ANYTHING dealin' wit' tha music industry, can turn from work in progress to clusterPHUCK in a matter of minutes. This experince was extremely pleasent. Tha atmosphere had a real positive flow to it. It was a clear example of how sh*t should go. Tha music was tha backdrop that reeeally helped all tha elements come together. People never got tired of takin' pics as well as dancin' their azzez off (I know I can't dance...if I dance, ya'll would'nt respect me later.)
There's reasons why events like this go according to tha plan. Tha music, again was on point. Tha atmosphere was electric due to tha promotion and ambience given by Latonya StClair and her team at Lastreet promotions. They did a nice azz job of enhancing tha club's surroundings. Now...for tha visual end. I got to give mad props to "Tha female Gordon Parks of this Photog sh*t" Ms. Cindy Barrymore.
She has a real keen eye when it comes to, capturing tha essence of tha atmosphere. Add to tha equation of beautiful people, you have a clever mix of organized chaos. Also...Black Star Power was minglin' wit tha appearences from Grammy award winner Hula and tha man of tha hour, Mr. Stacy (Tha big chain) Kidd ( He does wear a Big-azz chain.)
As for tha track "Holy Ghost"....MANNN LISTENNN...certifed club banger!!!! (Ya know I don't review garbage) Stacy has a talent of blendin' and creatin' mixes that boggle tha muh-phuckin' mind. (Look for his mixes and songs on Traxsource.com and other outlets)
So, it was actually a pleasent experience in tha music industry, for once. While tha hell i'm at it, I gotta show love to those, That make this movement..a movement. ONE LOVE. to Hula, Maurice Joshua, E-Smoove, Liddell "NuNu" Townsell, Tha Diz, DJ Emanuel, and CHICAGO'S Tightest female DJ Sundance. ONE LOVE. to Byron (Ten City) Stingly, Marshall Jefferson, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Terry Hunter, Matthew Yates, and sooooo phuckin' many more.
If I forgot you...remind me. Come to Friday nites @ Rev's @ 18221 Pulaski in Country Club Hills. I'll prolly have to make it my spot. Black. Star. Power. at its best.
Aiiight people...if you got an event fo' me to see, or people to know, or just wanna chat (No sex line) Hit me up @ FaceBook (Matt Lloyd) or follow my weird actin' azz on tha Twitter (Mayhemm09) Trust me, it make you thank god fo' yo life.
